WHAT IS A NEUROBALANCE PILLOW?
Neurobalancing – this means that the pillow's design helps maintain the balance of the nervous system through body posture, sensory input, and open airways.
The pillow works not only at a mechanical (support) level but also at a neurosensory level – it reduces excessive tension and helps the body transition into a parasympathetic ("rest") state.
DOES THE PILLOW MAKE A SOUND?
Buckwheat hulls naturally emit a light, subtle sound. However, the kapok layer effectively dampens this sound, making it minimal and often barely noticeable during daily use.
Manufacturers' practice shows that most users get accustomed to this sound within a few nights, and over time it may diminish as the filling "settles in."
HOW FIRM IS THIS PILLOW?
The pillow provides stable, medium-firm support.
It is firmer than very soft, down pillows. The kapok layer adds softness, but the overall support remains structured. For people who prefer very soft and "cloud-like" pillows, this one might feel too stable.
IS IT SUITABLE FOR SIDE, BACK, OR STOMACH SLEEPERS?
The pillow provides stable, medium-firm support.
For side sleepers:
- Suitable – can fill the space between the shoulder and neck
- Maintains a neutral neck position¹
For back sleepers:
- Suitable – important to maintain the natural curve of the neck
For stomach sleepers:
- Suitable – adjust the amount of filling to make it lower and flatter
Clinical recommendations emphasize that the head should not be excessively bent forward or tilted back⁶.
CAN THIS PILLOW CAUSE ALLERGIC REACTIONS?
The natural materials used in the pillow – kapok and buckwheat hulls – are hypoallergenic. The OEKO-TEX® certified cotton cover also meets safety standards. However, if you have specific allergies to plant materials, consult a specialist.
WHAT IS THIS PILLOW MADE OF AND HOW IS IT CONSTRUCTED?
The pillow consists of:
- buckwheat hulls, which provide structural, moldable support
- kapok fiber, which creates a lighter and softer surface feel
The outer cover is certified OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. This means that the textile has been tested for harmful substances, including threads and accessories.
As with regular pillows, it is recommended to use an additional outer pillowcase for everyday use.
WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO COMBINE KAPOK AND BUCKWHEAT HUSKS?
Buckwheat hulls provide stable and firm support, while the kapok layer offers a light, soft fit. This combination creates balanced comfort: the pillow is neither too soft nor too hard, yet maintains a clear structure.
HOW IS THE HEIGHT AND SHAPE OF THE PILLOW ADJUSTED?
The primary method of adjustment is manual shaping before sleep.
The filling can be distributed to accommodate:
- head position
- neck curve
- the gap between the shoulder and neck (especially when sleeping on your side)

HOW LONG DO NATURAL FILLERS LAST?
Over time, natural fillings may:
- compress
- lose some volume
Buckwheat hulls can gradually break down or flatten over several years, so we recommend topping them up or replacing them.
Kapok can clump – its fluffiness can be restored by regular fluffing.
DOES THIS PILLOW HELP MAINTAIN PROPER NECK ALIGNMENT DURING SLEEP?
The pillow is designed to be shaped and help maintain a neutral head-neck position.
Ergonomics studies show that the key factors for comfort and support are:
- pillow height and shape
- cervical spine alignment
- pressure distribution
- neck and shoulder muscle activity

HOW TO CLEAN AND MAINTAIN?
Recommended care:
- Remove the filling before washing – only wash the outer cover according to the care instructions.
- Do not allow the filling to get wet.
- If the filling does get wet, dry it completely in a well-ventilated area or in the sun.
